Values

We continue to develop Odegard from a long-term perspective of values and practices. Through journalism, storytelling, knowledge-sharing and entertainment, we want those societies where we work to be more open, interesting, entertaining and well-informed.

Free Speech

Freedom of speech is Odegard’s oldest and most deeply held core value, and our views concerning media ownership are described in our vision for journalism.

Our media informs public opinion on freedom of speech issues and the unfortunate journalists who have had their freedom of speech silenced.

Reading

Reading gives us increased knowledge, better insight and greater empathy, which in many ways provide a leg up in handling a variety of situations in life, both good and bad.

Reading enriches language and increases reading comprehension, which also provides an advantage later in life when pursuing higher education and being able to take part-in and influence public debate.
